Unibloom’s mission is to build most seamless platform for financially viable Sustainability Action in companies to get them to net zero emissions, zero plastic waste and zero deforestation.

We achieve this by providing real-time access to a unique database and modelling algorithm, along with user-friendly guidance that empowers non-climate expert teams to collaborate on climate solutions, accurately model the impacts of decisions on sustainability, and accelerate meaningful action.

The Role

A full time position as a full stack senior engineer working to enhance our flagship SAAS solution for Sustainability Managers and cross-functional teams to plan out, identify and compare their investments and cost-savings towards their Net Zero Strategy, with integrated databases for accurate data on projects, investment and resources in an optimal way. You’ll have the opportunity to join a fast-paced start-up shaping the product at an early stage, have an immediate impact and see the tangible results of your contributions in real time.

Unibloom is a Zinc VC backed start-up in London, with two founders, Anna & Vineet, sharing 30 years of success from Unilever/Ben & Jerry’s, Bloomberg & start up to scale ups leadership roles. Unibloom had within 6 months attracted paying customers (now 2 years old), with big listed food companies as its early clients. Our mission is to empower organisations to take science-based climate action in the most financially optimal way.

We've developed an innovative platform that calculates the impact of corporate projects, guiding organisations towards a greener future. Responsibilities

• Enhancing the core product to provide customers with deeper insights through advanced data analysis and visualization capabilities.
• Designing and implementing components and pages in Next.JS using typescript, tailwindui and tailwindcss.
• Creating performant REST apis in Next.JS using typescript and prisma for the backend.
• Managing the project in an agile fashion in JIRA through weekly sprints.
• Collaborating with our cross-functional team to realize the company's vision and product roadmap.
• Addressing user feedback to continuously improve the user experience.
• Documenting all additions to components, APIs or libraries.
• Ensuring best practices for maintainability, scalability, and security.

Requirements

• Expertise in React, TypeScript and REST APIs.
• Expertise with data visualization and charting.
• Solid experience with relational databases (like PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
• Solid experience with serverless architecture (Vercel or others)
• Experience with Jest unit tests and integration testing for web applications.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced start-up environment.
• Passion for sustainability, business impact and a belief in our mission.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Next.JS
• Experience with prisma and recharts.
• Experience with OAuth for SSO integration
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD.

Your role as an Intern

As a key contributor, you will:

1. Research agri-commodity costs, nutrition, regulations and costs data sources to

enrich our database.

2. Develop insights on nutrition indicators for animals (chickens, pigs, cows) and

incorporate them into our system for various ingredients.

3. Conduct leading research on ingredient substitution for sustainable animal feed and

other ingredients.

4. Establish benchmarks for sustainable animal systems worldwide.
